• Welcome to the primary course, pun intended, for beginning language learners.

It will seek to ground beginning language learners in the mechanics of language use - grammar and vocabulary.

Like a good foundation, a deep and wide knowledge of grammar and vocabulary will allow beginning learners to build on their web of literacy skills - reading, speaking, listening and writing - in later stages of language mastery.

The journey of a thousand mile begins with a step. Let us begin!
  • This course will further build on the strong foundational knowledge in grammar and vocabulary learnt in Lower Primary levels to prepare them for for a more rigorous EL syllabus in their later years as Upper Primary students.

It will cover a wider scope of grammar and vocabulary to include 8 parts of speech as well as literacy skills such as creative writing and oral presentation to prepare students for the upcoming PSLE.

  • This course further builds on your capabilities as a beginning language learner and seeks to deepen and widen your foundation in grammar and vocabulary while at the same time, expanding your repertoire of literacy skills.

You will gain insights into what goes into the mechanics of a good piece of writing, how to actively understand different text types and learn to read aloud with finesse. The end objective is aceing 'O' levels. Lessons will be structured increasingly to mimic the standard of an 'O' level paper before the course ends.
  • You are now at the juncture where your all your past knowledge and skills will be called into play.

As an intermediate language user, you are now ready to build on your current strengths to explore creative language use towards different effects - whether to inform, educate or entertain. In short, you will further expand on your web of knowledge to acquire new skills as well as never-before-learnt learning strategies in reading and writing, in your quest to become a competent language user.

  • Welcome to the course that is uniquely structured for advanced language learners taking General Paper in Junior Colleges.

You will be utilizing your very best language skills and in-depth knowledge of vocabulary and grammar as well as your general knowledge to complete this course.

At the end of it, you will be well-equipped to handle GP - the 'killer' paper - with ease and poise!
